King Charles Spaniels get the royal treatment at Richmond Hill Hotel in celebration of the King’s upcoming Coronation

news

In honour of His Majesty The King’s Coronation, Richmond Hill Hotel is welcoming King Charles Spaniels to stay for free during the celebrations.

The Monarch’s namesake dog breed has said to have risen in popularity with dog owners since it was announced he would take over the throne from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The dog-friendly hotel is inviting all well-behaved King Charles Spaniels to stay, free of charge, in the lap of luxury during the Coronation bank holiday weekend (Saturday 6th to Monday 8th May 2023).

Four-legged guests staying overnight will receive a special treat on arrival and will be provided with a cosy blanket and water bowl as standard.

Pooches in need of a pamper can laze around in the luxurious Georgian-style hotel, or more adventurous canine companions can explore the suitably regal Royal Richmond Park where dogs can run, sniff and play. Or they can join their humans on the al fresco terrace for some delicious bites and refreshments.

Furry friends can also bathe in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the bar and lounge area of the popular restaurant, 144 On The Hill where humans can pick from bar snacks, a delicious all-day dining menu, afternoon tea, and a selection of seasonal and classic cocktails.

Special guest Rupert (@southlondondogs) was first to road test Richmond Hill’s special offer and the results were very paws-itive. Rupert stayed in a georgian room and enjoyed the accommodation, food and picturesque location.

Charlotte Alldis, Director of Marketing at Richmond Hill Hotel said: “We are thrilled to mark His Majesty the King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort’s Coronation by removing all fees for King Charles Spaniels staying with us during the special weekend. Richmond Hill is a well-known dog-friendly hotel, and we felt this would be a great way to celebrate this momentous occasion.

“We welcomed Rupert and her lovely owners to the hotel to trial it ahead of the Coronation weekend and we are delighted to get such a glowing report, we’re confident all dogs will enjoy the royal treatment on offer.”

There is no need to leave your four-legged friend behind this summer as all Spaniels stay for free between 6th to the 8th of May to mark the historical occasion. All dogs are welcome all year round at a standard cost of £35 per night all.
