Lime Venue Portfolio Adds Another Premiership Venue

Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium Join Venue Group

24th October 22, UK:  Lime Venue Portfolio have increased the group’s tally of Premiership football club stadiums with the addition of Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium this week. The stadium has become a massive part of the local community as well as one of the leading London sporting venues.

The Gtech Community Stadium is also one of the newest in the capital, having been completed in 2020, the year of the club’s promotion into the top tier of English football. At the centre of the design was the need to connect with the local community, something the club is also looking to do through its meetings and events business.

“We all know how important it is for meetings to connect with their communities, be it locally in Brentford, the wider London story, or as a UK representative of elite sport, health, nutrition, and fitness,” commented Jo Austin, Sales Director, Lime Venue Portfolio. “Brentford has an amazing atmosphere both on match and non-match days, it’s brand new, is easily accessible within the capital and has a great personality that meetings and event organisers can really play with.”

James Parkinson, Commercial Director, Brentford FC said: “It was so important for us that when we moved away from Griffin Park that we stayed in Brentford, in our community, close to our spiritual home. Our new stadium has already found a place in the hearts of so many people having witnessed some amazing moments in the stadium over the past few seasons. We want our guests to be inspired when they come along for their meetings and events, connecting to our people, our values and our community.”

The venue is already attracting a raft of business from both London and the wider UK events community. It also recently launched its Christmas events programme, offering exclusively private parties across the festive period.

The Gtech Community Stadium will join other leading stadiums already within Lime Venue Portfolio, including: Sheffield United’s home, Bramall Lane; Villa Park, home of Aston Villa; Vicarage Road, home of Watford FC; Cardiff City Stadium; The King Power Stadium, Leicester FC; Twickenham; the Kia Oval and Edgbaston, all homes to elite level football, rugby and cricket respectively.
