Destination partners with Convenus LLP for bespoke BookingZon offering

MeetBlackpool has launched its brand-new online accommodation booking platform, which will provide event organisers with a free and secure way to book rooms, whilst receiving impartial advice on the town’s accredited hotels.

The new service, which utilises Convenus LLP’s BookingZon software, will showcase all of MeetBlackpool’s accredited accommodation partners, their facilities, and availability across event dates, with organisers able to manage all aspects of their booking online. The site also includes a group booking option for organisers looking to submit a request for block room bookings.

As part of the partnership MeetBlackpool will work with Convenus LLP on securing new allocation contracts and offer support to conferences looking to host events in Blackpool. It will also enable MeetBlackpool to free up valuable resources to focus on other initiatives to promote the town’s extensive meetings and events offering.

The new service follows significant investment into the town’s accommodation offering, including the recent extension of the Hampton by Hilton Blackpool and the building of several new hotels with more exciting developments on the horizon, including Blackpool’s first Holiday Inn. These new properties will add more than 700 new rooms of top-quality to the town’s accommodation offering.

Julie Vincent, Head of MeetBlackpool said: “MeetBlackpool has been on an impressive journey since launching last year and we are excited to announce our new offering with Convenus LLP. We have almost 200 accredited hotel partners across the town and it can be difficult for event organisers to clearly understand what rooms space is available, so having the BookingZon platform is an easy way for us and our providers to communicate this with organisers. We’re looking forward to working with Simon and the team at Convenus LLP.”

Simon Richards, Managing Partner, Convenus LLP and Finance Director, beam said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by MeetBlackpool to roll out our bespoke BookingZon platform and to offer a simple booking journey for event organisers. Blackpool is the seventh destination to have rolled out our BookingZon platform and we are looking forward to working with Julie and the resort’s hoteliers on this project.”
