British Hip Society confirms 2026 annual meeting at Olympia’s new International Convention Centre

Olympia Events, managed by Legends and ASM Global, has confirmed another booking for its brand-new International Convention Centre (ICC), opening early 2026. The British Hip Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting is the UK’s leading forum for hip surgery, bringing together consultants, trainees, and allied health professionals to explore the latest research, surgical techniques, and clinical advances in hip care.

Across three days, this flagship event will deliver world-class education, spirited scientific debate, and unparalleled networking opportunities to 600+ delegates across the UK’s orthopaedic community. Bringing together innovation, collaboration and networking across both conference and exhibition content, the annual meeting provides a unique opportunity to explore the complexities of hip-related conditions and discover the latest advancements in treatment and care.

Hosted under the roof of Olympia’s brand-new, state-of-the-art International Convention Centre, the £1.3bn regeneration to transform Olympia’s historic events site into London’s newest cultural destination has been central to the organiser’s decision to host their 2026 London event at this iconic venue. The new destination, opening in phases from the second half of 2025, will be home to new cultural, hospitality, and entertainment spaces, including 30+ bars, restaurants, and eateries, two onsite hotels, a 1,575-seat theatre, a 4,000-capacity theatre, and more, upon completion.

Jai Mistry, Event Director at MEDX Events, said:

“As the Professional Conference Organisers for the British Hip Society’s flagship event, we at MEDX Events are thrilled to be bringing the 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting to Olympia. With its iconic heritage, central London location, and impressive redevelopment, Olympia offers the perfect stage for the UK’s leading hip surgery forum. We’re excited to collaborate with the Olympia team to deliver an exceptional experience for delegates, speakers, exhibitors and partners alike.”

Adam Pollington, Sales Director – Conferences and Events at Olympia Events, said:

“It’s fantastic to be welcoming the British Hip Society to our brand-new convention centre in its opening month. We’re delighted to offer organisers a venue that not only boasts world-class facilities but can combine this with the unparalleled services and assets of the wider destination surrounding us. This will mark the beginning of the type of ambitious, sector-leading events the ICC was built to deliver, setting the tone for a new era of conferences in London.”

The announcement follows a series of new show announcements at Olympia for 2025/26, including Photo London, London Snow Show and Food Matters Live. British Hip Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting 2026 will take place on 18-20 March at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Olympia.
