About the Role 

As the Deputy Head of Business Events Management, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding experiences across a variety of events, including cultural performances, exhibitions, corporate functions, and large-scale conferences. Working closely with the Head of Business Events Management, you will lead and support a dedicated team, ensuring the smooth planning, co-ordination, and execution of events, always delivering the highest standards of service.

The Key Responsibilities

  • To act as Deputy to the Head of Business Events Management. 
  • To lead, direct and manage both the Business Events Concierge and Business Events Administrator roles.
  • To deputise and take the lead for the full Business Events Management team when the Head of Business Events Management is not available.
  • To re-enforce and ensure that all Head of Business Events Management decisions are implemented and acted upon.
  • To practice conflict resolution skills and make decisions on behalf of the Head of Business Events Management.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their requirements are met with precision.
  • To manager and deliver a portfolio of their own allocated events and clients.
  • Support, mentor, and manage a talented, experienced team of event managers and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., technical, marketing, front of house) to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve event services and customer satisfaction.
