ORIDA Hotels comes to Newbury

Countrywide Hotels is excited to announce the acquisition of the DoubleTree by Hilton Newbury by ORIDA Hotels.

The 113-bedroom hotel, which will trade as ORIDA Hotels Newbury, is the latest addition to the ORIDA Hotels portfolio. Other properties include ORIDA Hotels Maidstone, Holiday Inn Maidstone – Sevenoaks, and three golf courses in the South East of England.

Located just off Junction 13 of the M4, ORIDA Hotels Newbury is a stylish and welcoming destination, ideally situated for both business and leisure travellers visiting Newbury and the wider county of Berkshire. Leisure guests can enjoy convenient access to local attractions such as Highclere Castle, Donnington Castle, and the famous Newbury Racecourse.

Darren Patt, Managing Director of Countrywide Hotels, said: “The acquisition of the former Double Tree by Hilton, now to be rebranded ORIDA Hotels Newbury, is an exciting next step for both Countrywide Hotels and ORIDA Hotels. Following the success of our long-term partnership—particularly with ORIDA Hotels Maidstone—we are eager to bring the same values, service, and

operational excellence to Newbury. With its fantastic location, versatile facilities, and experienced team, we look forward to enhancing the guest experience and maximizing the hotel’s potential.”

With modern, fully equipped rooms accommodating up to 100 guests, the hotel provides high-speed Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, and dedicated event planning support to ensure a seamless experience.

In addition, ORIDA Health will soon be arriving in Newbury, providing both hotel guests and local residents with access to an on-site swimming pool, gym, steam room, and sauna. The health club will continue to offer memberships and a variety of fitness classes.
