RCP London Events today announces a record-breaking June 2024, with income surpassing last year’s (also record-breaking) figures by 20%. This milestone is a highlight in what has been a remarkable first half of the year, marked by a 13% increase in events hosted between January and June compared to the same period in 2023.
Building on a successful 2023, where RCP London Events hosted 370 commercial events, the venue has already confirmed231 events for 2024. This growth is reflected not only in the number of events but also in the surge of agent enquiries which have increased by an impressive 130%, while existing business enquiries have risen by 13%.
Some of the key events to take place at the venue in 2024 so far include the Change Partners’ International Women’s Day event and CRESTCon Europe 2024.
RCP London Events Head of Commercial Events, Natacha Allen, says: “We are delighted with the outstanding results in June and the overall growth in the first half of 2024.
“We can attribute our achievement to a multitude of great initiatives, with a special emphasis on our outdoor event offering. With more people choosing to meet outside due to the numerous benefits it offers, including fresh air and wellbeing, our outdoor events have become a popular option for various industries.”
These initiatives include flexible catering packages for conferences, including flexible Day Delegate packages, and the introduction of bowl food, bento boxes and sharing boards on top of the more traditional hot fork buffet. Also the introduction of more creative media services and production offers, as well as video creation to make events more visually appealing by representing the brand.
RCP London Events Medicinal Garden
Another significant factor contributing to this success is the opening of the venue’s Medicinal Garden for the summer season and post-conference drinks receptions in June, allowing guests to take advantage of the good weather. This tranquil, beautifully landscaped space, a rarity for central London, features a unique collection of over 1,000 plants, herbs, and flowers with medicinal relevance. In summer, the garden transforms into an ideal setting for creative events, such as pizza and barbecue parties and interactive food stalls, accommodating up to 200 guests.
However, the garden’s appeal extends far beyond the summer months, making it a versatile, year-round sanctuary. Throughout the year, it serves as a serene space for wellbeing, providing staff and delegates with a place to reconnect with nature during breaks. These breaks allow delegates to enjoy the natural beauty and sunlight, enhancing their overall experience and productivity.
Natacha Allen adds: “We are excited to continue this momentum throughout the rest of the year and have some exciting plans to refurbish one of our key event spaces to enhance the delegate experience. Watch this space.”
