About the Role:

The Coppid Beech Hotel has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join our fantastic team. This is a busy, demanding role and will require a proven record in a similar position. You will of course be key to every aspect of organising meetings, events and conferences within our 205 bedroom hotel, from taking initial enquiries to ensuring a perfect execution of the event on the day.

Key Skills and Behaviours:

Reporting to the Revenue Manager the successful applicant will have the following skills…

  • Superb customer service, communication and organisational skills.
  • A strong focus on meeting business targets for revenue and occupancy.
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Opera Sales and/or Delphi.
  • Demonstrate pro-active selling and effective conversion of enquiries to bookings.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships both with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • Have an eye for detail and an excellent knowledge of our competitors in order to promote our facilities to their full potential.
  • Strong leadership skills with a positive, friendly attitude.

Work schedule…

  • This is a full-time position with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, though occasional weekend work may be required to oversee weddings & events
  • Hosting for Christmas functions in November & December
  • Office hours follow a rota schedule, 08:30 to 18:30 – Monday to Friday
