The Chris Peacock Young Champion of Change Award

We are excited to announce the launch of this independently judged award in honour of our late friend, association supporter, and much respected colleague Chris Peacock, to be presented at our Gala Dinner in January.


All nominees must be currently employed by a beam member, be 25 or under on 12 January 2024 and be someone who has made a positive impact in their business or in their wider community in 2023.


Entries must be submitted by a colleague (no self-nominating please).  Please provide; nominees name, job title, date of birth and head shot, along with approximately 300 words to say why they deserve to win.

 Robert Kenward is a recruitment expert specialising in senior hires within the events, mice and experiential sectors. He is an experienced speaker, moderator, industry commentator and EDI advocate who is able to convey his expertise and experience to an audience with a vibrant, passionate and vehemently honest approach. 

Robert brings a direct and pragmatic approach to recruitment, matching the personal and career aspirations of candidates to a company’s business growth plans.

In September 2023 Robert was awarded the ‘Personality of the Year’ award at the M&IT Awards as recognition of the work he has done to improve recruitment practises in the industry, his pro bono support of those facing redundancy and for his part in launching the Reach events industry scholarship.

Alistair Turner is Managing Director of  EIGHT PR & Marketing, a specialist research, marketing and creative agency servicing the events industry. Alistair has over 20 years’ experience in the PR and events industries, working closely with the key trade associations as well as the international government.

Alistair is also the author and presenter of the ibtm World Trends Report, the most comprehensive trends report in the global meeting and events industry, and has presented its findings and predictions in three continents. His insight into the Virtual Experience Economy, has changed the way the industry is looking at the next decade, and its understanding of technology, ethics, security and sustainability trends. 

He is a regular speaker on events at a number of universities including The University of Hertfordshire, MMU (Manchester), Westminster, Greenwich, Sheffield, Birmingham University College, Coventry, and St Margrets (Edinburgh). He is also a regular contributor to The Events Academy educational programmes.

 

Rebecca Hollis  has over 10 years industry experience, progressing from Events Consultant, to Training & Development Manager

and is now Operations Director at Conference Care.

She is responsible for looking after their award-winning venue finding team, ensuring operational efficiency and service proposition, amongst many other things.

Relationship-focused and passionate about getting the best from the Conference Care team, Becki prides herself on doing right by their customers and venue partners alike.
