Center Parcs announces multi-million pound refurbishment of Sherwood Forest conferences and events space

Following the successful relaunch of Woburn Forest in Autumn 2022, at the cost of £2.5m, Center Parcs’ Conferences & Events has announced plans to refurbish its iconic, dedicated conference and events venue at Sherwood Forest.

Closing its doors on 12 May 2023, The Venue is set to reopen in Winter 23/24 following a multi-million pound transformation.

Nestled in 400 acres of forest, The Venue, a versatile space surrounded by leafy walkways, offers great views overlooking the forest and lake and accommodates events for up to 550 delegates. Once reopened, the conference and events venue will be equipped with additional break out rooms, and a larger outdoor space and welcome area.

Julia Green, Sales & Commercial Manager at Center Parcs Conferences & Events, said: “Since reawakening our conference and events offering last autumn, we’ve seen a healthy appetite for corporate events translate into a large influx of booking enquiries for both our venues. The feedback we’ve had from delegates and clients who’ve returned to Woburn Forest since its refurbishment has been fantastic, and this has certainly played a key role in Center Parcs’ decision to pursue a major transformation at Sherwood Forest.”

Located in central England, Sherwood Forest benefits from access to major network routes, including the A1 and M1. Those travelling from London can be in the forest in under two hours, with direct trains from Kings Cross into Newark Northgate train station, just 16 miles away.
