Experts in team building and corporate events, made their mark on Manchester last week when they attended the Famtastic Awards at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel. In an evening of celebration for top talent within the events and hospitality industry, Eventurous excelled as they took home two awards – Green Initiative of the Year and Team Building Company of the Year, beating some stiff competition!
With over 30 years’ experience in managing corporate events, from team building in London to conferences in Manchester, the awards come at a time of record-breaking growth for the agency.
Sales Director at Eventurous, Kieron Bowen says; “Manchester is a hub for corporate events – we spend a lot of time there. 2023 has been a successful year for us in terms of recognition, particularly on the sustainability front. We have attended various hospitality awards in London however, this was our first time attending the awards in Manchester. To leave with two awards has been the cherry on top of a great year so far. Manchester is a vibrant and economically strong city that holds a lot of opportunity for creating memorable experiences for our clients. Winning the awards will give our Manchester clients the confidence that their event is in the right hands!”
The awards come as the event industry is thriving post pandemic according to reports. A report from BCD M&E (2023) shows that concerns for employee wellbeing and engagement are rising amongst employers and over 50% of employees in the UK say that their input increases when they feel valued. As a result of this growing concern, team building days are increasingly seen as integral to a happy and high performing team.
Manchester remains in the top five most popular locations for team building in the UK according to the experts at Eventurous. With the expansion of event venues such as the AO Arena and the launch of multiple hotels such as the Malmaison Deansgate, Manchester is fast becoming a popular choice for a wide range of corporate events and more and more businesses are choosing to go North over the Capital.
Not even the ‘Rainy City’ are put off by the unpredictable British weather, with outdoor team building in Manchester, contributing to a fivefold increase in demand for outdoor corporate events in the UK, since before the pandemic.
Ellie Cashmore, Marketing Manager at Eventurous says; “After recognising the unforeseen opportunities the pandemic left our industry, we used our time wisely to re-evaluate our strategy and as part of that we simplified our company values and made sure we held ourselves accountable for implementing them into everything we do.
Ellie continues… “Two of our four values are all about caring for people and the planet. So, to win awards for doing just that solidifies our authentic efforts and demonstrates the true dedication our team has, when it comes to delivering excellence. We thank our hotel and venue partners, suppliers and clients across Manchester and beyond who are celebrating with us and hope that together we can continue to thrive!”
