  • The Commercial Rents Stakeholder Survey

BEIS is currently conducting a commercial rents stakeholder survey to inform the The Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill. This will put in place an arbitration process to manage outstanding rent debt for businesses in scope. The survey is to help BEIS understand the context and impact of the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill and inform their ongoing monitoring and evaluation process. They want to make sure that the views of businesses potentially affected by the policy are heard and taken into account so can you please forward this to your members to complete. It should only take about 10 minutes to complete but the timeframe is very limited with the survey closing on Friday, 25 March 2022.

  • DCMS Sectors Economic Estimates

DCMS has published estimates of exports and imports of goods and services in sectors under DCMS’s responsibility during 2020. This is great, until you realise that the IPS figures haven’t been collected between 16 March 2020 and January 2021 so it’s not possible to compare the performance of the tourism industry with other DCMS sectors or indeed other sectors of the economy.
