Center Parcs Celebrates Ten Years of Corporate Events at Woburn Forest

Center Parcs Conferences & Events celebrates ten years since the first corporate event took place at its dedicated events venue in Woburn Forest.

Over 85,000 delegates have set foot in the forest destination since The Venue first opened its doors to corporate bookings in June 2014.

In its first year, Woburn Forest hosted 86 events – rising to a total of 187 events per year (a 117.4% growth) and hitting the 1.5K event mark in 2023.

Across its decade-long history, Center Parcs’ Bedfordshire venue has achieved an annual revenue increase of 137% – reporting its best year yet for confirmed revenue from corporate bookings in March 2024.

While its Nottinghamshire venue in Sherwood Forest has been bringing companies together for away days and team building activities since 1987, Woburn Forest has a much more contemporary history as Center Parcs’ fifth UK village, constructed ten years ago to meet growing demand.

In its eighth year, The Venue at Woburn Forest went through a transformative refurbishment worth £2.5m, enhancing and modernising the facilities to elevate its offering and meet client needs.

Situated just three miles away from Flitwick station, The Venue at Woburn Forest has benefited from its proximity to London and the South East, attracting regional and capital-based businesses looking for a quick escape to the great outdoors.

Julia Green, Head of Corporate Events at Center Parcs Conferences & Events, said: “Woburn Forest has become so central to our events and conferences offering and the wider brand’s business identity, it’s hard to imagine a time before leisure and corporate guests were visiting the village. It’s fantastic looking back on everything our events teams have achieved over the past decade, and how firmly we’ve established Woburn Forest as a corporate events destination on the agendas of event planners around the country. In the first quarter of 2024 alone, we received a third more enquiries for corporate events at our Woburn Forest venue than through the whole of 2023, so appetite for our business offering is looking really healthy for the year ahead. Here’s to another fantastic ten years!”
