How to join the supplier membership?

Consultancy Membership

To become a beam Consultancy Member, you must

  • have 75% or more of your organisation’s total trading income revenue derived from the hospitality, business events, accommodation and meetings sector
  • adhere to the current published Code of Practice where commission payments, client ownership and working with agencies and venue suppliers are part of your business processes.

The Board may amend the membership criteria as deemed necessary from time to time

To become a beam Convention Bureau Member :

  • If your organisation is working with or representing suppliers outside of the UK, please be aware that UK-based agencies often prefer to work with those suppliers which pay a commission for confirmed bookings.  You may find it helpful to review and share our Code of Practice which is recognised as the UK’s best practice guidance for business relationships between agencies and suppliers.

To become a beam Destination Management Company Member you must:

  • Business events must provide a significant income stream for the company
  • Adherence to the current published Code of Practice where commission payments, client ownership and working with agencies and venue suppliers are part of your business processes

  • For apartment providers with multiple locations, membership must be for all locations

To become a beam Tech Member you must

  • Have 75% or more of your organisation’s total trading income revenue derived from the hospitality, business events accommodation and meetings sector.
  • Have an IATA or IATA TIDS number if the organisation’s business model includes charging commission fees to hotels and venues.

  • Adhere to the current published Code of Practice where commission payments, client ownership and working with agencies and venue suppliers are part of your business processes.

To become a beam Supplier Member you must:

  • Adhere to the current published Code of Practice
  • For hotel/supplier groups, membership must be for all UK/Eire based properties which work with business events, accommodation and meetings
  • Individual hotels/suppliers may apply for independent membership in addition to their group membership, but not in place of group membership
