Historic Wotton House Country Estate Hotel in Surrey joins Venues of Excellence

As Venues of Excellence (VOE) continues to build momentum as the UK’s leading sales and marketing consortium for independent venues within the MICE sector, it proudly welcomes Wotton House Country Estate Hotel to its prestigious portfolio. This strategic partnership reflects VOE’s ongoing commitment to supporting unique, high-quality venues that offer exceptional service, inspiring spaces, and a dedication to sustainability.

Mandy Jennings, CEO of Venues of Excellence, shared her enthusiasm for the new addition: “Wotton House Country Estate Hotel exemplifies everything Venues of Excellence stands for – rich heritage, stunning event facilities, and a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Their dedication to innovation and sustainability aligns perfectly with our values, and we are thrilled to welcome them into our community of outstanding venues. Together, we will continue to raise the bar in the MICE sector.”

Nestled in the heart of Surrey, Wotton House is steeped in history, dating back to 1086 when it was listed in the Domesday Book as the Manor of Wotton. Over the centuries, this grand estate has witnessed a remarkable journey—from its role as a base for Canadian soldiers during World War II to housing the Fire Service College until 1981.

Today, Wotton House operates as a distinctive independent hotel offering 127 elegant bedrooms and 20 versatile meetings and event spaces. Its expansive grounds provide a stunning backdrop for outdoor events and team-building activities, combining the charm of a countryside retreat with the convenience of close proximity to London and major transport links.

Sharon Power, Director of Sales at Wotton House, commented on the new partnership: “Joining Venues of Excellence is a natural step for us as we continue to strive for the highest standards in service, sustainability, and innovation. Being part of a consortium that shares our values allows us to collaborate, grow, and strengthen our role as architects of innovative events in Surrey. We’re excited about the opportunities this membership brings – not just for our venue, but for our incredible hotel team, our valued clients, and our wonderful guests.”

With over 50 independent venues in its portfolio, Venues of Excellence is known for championing exceptional customer service, sustainable practices, and top-tier event delivery. Wotton House Country Estate Hotels recent audit affirmed the venue’s exceptional team and unwavering commitment to hospitality, making it a fitting new member of the VOE family.
