Wyboston Lakes Resort finalist for two accolades at prestigious awards

Award winning conference, training and leisure venue Wyboston Lakes Resort has been shortlisted as one of the best conference venues in the country and among the most sustainable by the prestigious Conference & Events Awards.

The resort’s impressive Woodlands Event Centre has been selected by judges of the highly coveted awards as a finalist for Best Conference / Event Venue (500-1200 Theatre Style) and the resort for the Sustainability Award for Venues.

Marketing Director and Sustainability Lead Louisa Watson said: “This is very exciting. It is a tremendous honour to be a finalist for two such prestigious awards and superb recognition of the first-class quality of our venue and our unrelenting commitment to being more sustainable.”

The Woodlands Event Centre is designed to meet the needs of the latest generation of delegates and event organisers and is highly popular with conferences and events for many sectors including financial services, pharmaceutical and associations.

The Resort’s complete commitment to sustainability is captured succinctly by its mantra ‘More Sustainable, No Apology.’

Room2Give, an initiative launched in January 2025, invites guests staying for more than one night to choose to support one of three local charities instead of opting for a room clean. This has prevented a vast amount of carbon emissions while so far raising more than £35,000 for Wyboston Lakes Resort’s chosen local charities. It is now becoming a nationwide scheme for accommodation providers everywhere, aiming to raise £1m for local charities.

The results of the Conference & Events Awards 2026 will be announced on 26 June at Evolution London in Battersea Park.
