David Osgathorp takes the stage at IBTM to champion mental wellness as a driver of elite performance

Delegates at this year’s IBTM were treated to an inspiring, high-impact session delivered by globally recognised performance coach, David Osgathorp today. David, who is a Performance Consultant for Oracle Red Bull Racing, challenged IBTM attendees to rethink their understanding of performance, shifting the focus from purely physical and technical ability to the crucial role of mental wellness.

David’s approach is always human and holistic, and during IBTM he shared his mission to help people perform at their best without burning out by creating environments where excellence and wellbeing can thrive side by side.

“It’s vital to support the team behind the team ie. the coaches, engineers, staff, and executives whose performance underpins collective success. We need to address team dynamics, communication, and wellbeing in order to develop cohesive, high-performing environments. Mental wellness plays a very significant role and provides the foundation to become the very best version of ourselves,” he said.

As part of his role at Oracle Red Bull Racing, David offers a performance workshop for corporate clients at the Team’s Milton Keynes base, providing them with tests and exercises to track their performance as well as insights into transferable skills, data-driven decision-making and health and wellbeing.
