ICEAWARDS Germany Recognise the Best of In-House Event Organisers

The third ICEAWARDS Germany took place earlier this week and saw brands including Siemens AG, AER Kooperation, Airbus, BioNTech SE and Philips all take home accolades for work undertaken by their in house teams.

The Awards, which took place at the Siemens Head Office, Munich, also saw both the most competitive shortlist since its inception, and its most international reach to date from in house departments. The widening of scope and quality underlining the continued investment in events and brand experience across the region, but also the widening of reach for those activations.

In terms of the awards themselves, Alexion Pharma Germany GmbH , took home the Best Customer Experience title, sponsored by Zürich Convention Bureau, for its aHUS Diagnose battle, while Best Brand Experience, sponsored by Vienna Convention Bureau, was awarded to Philips for its HIMSS 2024 event.

Both the Best Environmental, Social and Governance Event, sponsored by Maritz, and the Best Logistical Challenge Event, sponsored by Encore, were given to BioNTech SE, for its Working together to promote vaccine equity for Africa.

AER Kooperation AG won both the Best International Event, sponsored by Austria Center Vienna, and the Best Motivational Event, sponsored by INVNT, for its AER Jahrestagung 2023. Meanwhile, Siemens AG was the recipient of the Best Innovation and Discovery award,  sponsored by Cvent, for the Siemens Business Conference 2023 Robot Showcase on the Main Stage. Finally, the Best Community Engagement, sponsored by Tobacco Dock, was won by Airbus for its 100 Years Pioneering Aerospace in Spain.

“These were beautiful events, creative and ambitious activations, with the power to reach and influence millions of people, and they all richly deserved this recognition,” commented Anita Howard, Founder and CEO, ICE. “However, I really do want to shout out to all the shortlisted entries, which were incredible. The standard was really strong, and the line between winning and just missing out has never been finer. They should all be really proud of what they have done, its great news for the industry.”
