A new owner for Village!

We are delighted to announce that today, Blackstone Real Estate (“Blackstone”) has taken full ownership of Village Hotel Club from KSL Capital Partner.

Village has developed to become a highly differentiated brand, operating 33 hotels and leisure clubs across the UK and offering a truly unique proposition. Each hotel offers stylish bedrooms alongside extensive business and leisure facilities, including Village Health & Wellness Club, Pub & Grill, meetings & event space, VWorks coworking and Starbucks coffee shop.

Village employs over 4,500 staff, and welcomes approximately 1.8m hotel guests and over 132,000 gym members of Village Health & Wellness. Thanks to its wide range of high quality amenities, Village Hotels has built a broad and loyal customer base, catering to domestic business travelers, tourists and leisure travelers, large groups and local residents.

Blackstone is one of the world’s largest private equity groups with existing assets in the UK hospitality sector. They are a long-term believer in the UK leisure sector, driven by consumers’ focus on high-quality experiences and services.

Gary Davis, CEO of Village Hotels, said, “We are incredibly proud of the work we have done over the past few years. We have created a unique brand that offers ‘everything under one roof’ for hotel guests and locals alike. There really is nothing quite like Village. With Blackstone, we see great opportunities to grow our brand further, and are actively looking at new development opportunities, as well as investing in our existing hotels and leisure clubs.”
