Butlin’s Conferences & Events Bolsters Offerings with Top-Tier Compliance for Pharma Sector

Following two successful exclusive-hire events for major pharma clients last year, Butlin’s has secured key compliance accreditations and invested in specialised training to meet the stringent demands of this market.

Butlin’s Bognor Regis resort has been independently assessed and aligns with the criteria for Compliance Index 8, as part of the Healthcare Venues Assessment and Training Solution–reflecting a high level of compliance alignment. This places Butlin’s among the top-tier venues capable of meeting the stringent requirements of hosting pharmaceutical and healthcare events and demonstrates a commitment to actively uphold the professional, ethical, and logistical standards required in this highly regulated sector.

The resort’s unique all-in-one-place model—combining versatile venues, comfortable accommodation, and diverse food and beverage options—is a core advantage. This approach simplifies the planning process for event organisers by eliminating the need to manage multiple vendors and locations, a significant benefit in a field where every detail must be meticulously controlled.

To further solidify its expertise, Butlin’s is investing in dedicated training for its staff. Ervina Kiezaite, Butlin’s Sales Manager for Conferences and Events, is now a certified Venue Healthcare Champion 3.0.

Event planners working with Butlin’s can be confident they are partnering with a team that truly understands the intricacies of the pharma sector, led by a certified Venue Healthcare Champion.

“The healthcare and pharmaceutical events sector is highly specialised,” said Kiezaite. “My training was invaluable, giving me the necessary insights to fully understand the unique language, expectations, and compliance requirements. Pharma events are worlds apart from standard corporate gatherings—everything from pitching a venue to handling spending caps must be carefully aligned with industry expectations. I know from experience how critical it is to speak their language, and this training positioned me to do just that with confidence and credibility.”

Butlin’s has already demonstrated its capability by successfully hosting two large-scale pharmaceutical events for approximately 500 delegates each. These events leveraged the resort’s flexibility, using the main plenary spaces in Studio 36 for presentations, various breakout areas for focused sessions, and a range of on-site dining options, culminating in a compliant gala dinner and after-party.
