Classic British Hotels Celebrates Partnership with ‘Something To Look Forward To’ in Charity’s 10th Anniversary Year

Classic British Hotels is proud to announce its continued partnership with Something To Look Forward To, a family-founded cancer charity, as they celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2025. This collaboration highlights Classic British Hotels’ commitment to supporting impactful causes within the hospitality industry and beyond.

Something To Look Forward To, based in Cambridge and serving individuals across the UK, was founded in 2015 by Fiona Coldron following her own breast cancer diagnosis. Fiona recognised the profound impact of small treats and experiences – such as hotel stays, spa days, and meals out – in providing respite and hope during challenging times. This led to the creation of a charity dedicated to offering these experiences to others facing similar circumstances.

The charity also addresses the critical issue of cancer poverty, where financial strain due to illness exacerbates the challenges of cancer treatment. Fiona sadly passed away in 2021, but her daughter, Francesca, now leads the organisation, continuing her mother’s legacy.

We are deeply honoured to partner with Something To Look Forward To during their milestone 10th year,” said Phillip Allsopp, Managing Director at Classic British Hotels. “Their mission to provide tangible experiences of joy and respite aligns perfectly with our core values as a hospitality brand. We believe in the power of creating positive memories, and we’re committed to supporting their incredible work.

Since 2023, Classic British Hotels has actively contributed to the charity’s mission by facilitating donations from its member hotels. These generous contributions include overnight stays, spa treatments, dining experiences, and more. To date, Something To Look Forward To has provided over £2 million worth of gifts and experiences to over 40,000 people affected by cancer.

Our partnership with Classic British Hotels has been invaluable,” said Francesca Abery, Managing Director at Something To Look Forward To. “Their support allows us to extend our reach and provide much-needed moments of joy to individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer. We are grateful for their commitment to our mission.

Classic British Hotels encourages other venues within the hospitality industry to join their efforts by donating experiences, particularly during quieter periods. Those interested in contributing can email enquiries@classicbritishhotels.com.
