Double recognition for Wyboston Lakes Resort in prestigious industry awards shortlist

Wyboston Lakes Resort has been shortlisted for Best Unusual Venue in the conference and meetings industry’s prestigious M&IT Awards.

The nomination recognises the continued success of the resort’s conference and events facilities, including The Woodlands Event Centre, The Willows Training Centre and The Box, its newest event space.

Steve Jones, CEO of Wyboston Lakes Resort, said:

“To be shortlisted for this important award alongside some fantastic venues is a tremendous achievement. It reflects the passion, dedication and hard work of our teams, who consistently go above and beyond to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. We are incredibly proud to be recognised by our industry peers.”

The resort has also received individual recognition, with Louisa Watson, Marketing Director and Sustainability Lead at Wyboston Lakes Resort and immediate Past Chair of beam, shortlisted for Personality of the Year.

The award celebrates individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the meetings and events industry through leadership, innovation and advocacy.

Commenting on her nomination, Louisa said:

“I am genuinely honoured to be shortlisted. The meetings and events industry is built on collaboration, and I have been fortunate to work alongside some incredibly talented and passionate people throughout my career. To be recognised by industry colleagues is particularly meaningful, and I am proud to have had the opportunity to champion sustainability, professional development and positive change across our sector.”

Steve Jones added:

“Louisa thoroughly deserves this recognition. Her energy, commitment and leadership have had a significant impact not only within Wyboston Lakes Resort but across the wider industry. Whether driving sustainability initiatives, supporting industry colleagues or championing best practice, she continually strives to make a positive difference.”

The winners will be announced at the M&IT Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, London, on 18 September.
