Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate has reported exceptional growth across its MICE business, with conference enquiries revenue rising 75% between 2022 and 2024 and confirmed conference revenue increasing 62% over the same period.
Momentum has continued over the past year, with a further 14% uplift in enquiries and 7.5% rise in confirmed bookings year-to-date in 2025. The performance marks three consecutive years of sustained, double-digit expansion across the estate’s core corporate revenue streams.
This strong upward trend reflects a decisive shift in how organisations plan their events, with corporates increasingly seeking experiential, wellness-focused and outdoor-led formats. At Down Hall, this is evidenced by an 82% year-on-year rise in wellness add-ons, a marked increase in multi-day programmes, retreats and growing demand for social, informal dining experiences.
The Street Food group dining concept, created by Executive Chef Robert Pearce, recent winner of the MIA Chef of the Year award, is among the hotel’s top performers, delivering an impressive 75% uplift year-on-year.
In addition, Down Hall’s new immersive outdoor dining concept, The Woodland Table, set within the estate’s two-acre Kitchen Garden, has driven further growth. Offered as a supplement to the 24-hour rate, the experience invites guests to dine under the tree canopy on open-fire dishes crafted from hyper-seasonal ingredients grown just steps away.
For smaller teams, Down Hall’s new Padel Package has emerged as a hit for active, sociable away days. Starting from £20 per person with an optional Pimm’s upgrade, the package includes two hours of private access to the award-winning property’s own padel, tennis and short tennis courts, alongside seasonal refreshments.
Wellness-led events have risen 82% year-on-year making it one of the fastest-growing offerings at Down Hall, with corporate groups regularly opting for morning yoga, breathwork, woodland walks and evening sound baths.
Linden Beattie, General Manager at Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate, comments: “The growth we’re experiencing reflects a clear evolution in delegate behaviour. Teams want connection, creativity and meaningful experiences, not just a meeting room. Our investment in outdoor dining, wellbeing and innovative activity-led packages has played a major role in driving demand.”
Set within 110 acres of woodland, lawns and landscaped gardens, Down Hall offers 12 flexible event spaces, 98 bedrooms, expansive activity fields, tennis and padel courts, an indoor an indoor wet spa, Eden Spa and new treatment rooms focused on holistic wellbeing at The Barn Spa. The property is also progressing with The Charles Gardens, a half-acre landscaped venue for weddings, events and delegate experiences; set to open in 2026.
What’s more, the estate has recently been awarded EcoSmart Silver Accreditation, enabling delegates to measure and offset the carbon footprint of their event.
