Elmers Court Hotel & Resort wins prestigious two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence

Elmers Court Hotel & Resort, part of the Macdonald Hotels & Resorts group, has been awarded two AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence.

The highly coveted AA Quality Assessed accreditation scheme praised the four-star New Forest venue’s comfort and ambiance, high standard of service and skill of the chef teams working within the venue’s Waterford Restaurant.

The fine-dining Waterford Restaurant has capacity to seat up to 60 covers, with spectacular views across the Solent Coast.

Menus, designed by head chef Andras Veres and his 6-strong team, are classically British, designed using the finest seasonal ingredients and complemented by an impressive wine list.

The Waterford Restaurant is open daily for à la carte dinner reservations. Guests seeking a casual dining option can also visit The Solent Kitchen, open daily within Elmers Court Hotel & Resort’s leisure building.

First awarded in 1956, the AA Rosette Award was the first nationwide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels.

The AA quality assessment rates hotels on hospitality, service, cleanliness, food, bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas, exterior and restaurant.

Mark Watts, general manager at Elmers Court Hotel & Resort, said: “This is a major milestone for our food and beverage department. To achieve so highly against AA quality standards is testament to the hard work, dedication and capabilities of our team, and I am incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. I look forward to welcoming new and returning guests to Elmers Court Hotel & Resort to showcase the exceptional skills and service which have made this award possible.”
