HTS Appoints New Director of Business Development as Growth Accelerates

Independent venue find, events, and travel management company HTS has appointed a new Director of Business Development, Sharon Bannister, a respected industry leader, to support the business as it enters a new phase of expansion.

The appointment follows a year of strong performance for the agency, including securing major new client accounts across multiple sectors and welcoming multiple new team members to its reservations department. This continued growth reflects HTS’s commitment to high-touch service, flexibility, and relationship-led meetings, and events and travel management.

Julie Shorrock, Managing Director at HTS, said: “Our people-first approach remains at the centre of everything we do and our clients choose us because we’re responsive, personal, and always there when they need us – especially when the unexpected happens. Sharon shares that ethos entirely, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to HTS.”

Sharon has 20 years of corporate events and travel industry knowledge and experience from her time with Q Hotels, Barcelo, and Capita Travel and Events which rebranded as Agiito before being acquired by Clarity Business Travel. Sharon will play a key role in driving new HTS partnerships and enhancing its market position.

Commenting on her appointment, Sharon added: “I’ve known and admired HTS for many years – for their exceptional service and for the care they show their clients and their people. I’m excited to help shape the next stage of the company’s growth and champion the value of independent, human-led travel and events management.”
