A growing Atherstone based corporate event agency won the prestigious award for Excellence in Hospitality, Retail and Events, at the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Awards last month, impressively beating stiff competition from renowned brands such as Selfridges!
The regional awards saw over 1200 delegates from businesses across Birmingham and presented 12 awards covering an array of categories such as Wellbeing, Sustainability, Contribution to the Community, People and Development, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Technology and Innovation, Third Sector and Training and Education.
2025 was the first year that Eventurous attended the awards despite celebrating consecutive record-breaking years and impressive growth post pandemic, particularly in the face of a turbulent industry subject their fair share of challenges.
There to collect the award, Director Joe Garland and Operations Manager Aaron Stone headed to the stage delighted for the unexpected recognition. The award, sponsored by Translift Bendi, was presented after the judges stated they commended Eventurous and their dedication to supporting Birmingham businesses, suppliers and venues by bringing them in to collaborate on corporate event projects all year round. The judges were equally impressed by the forward-thinking agency’s commitment to their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals.
Joe Garland said, “We are proud of our dedicated team and all they have achieved in recent years. We weren’t expecting to win this award with it being our first time entering. The truth is we still see ourselves as just a team building company sometimes, but the reality is that we’ve worked incredibly hard to grow the team from 3 to 23 and to go on to be recognised as one of the best event agencies in the UK, winning 8 industry awards last year. So, taking home this award in front of so many inspiring local businesses is incredible, and we’re so grateful for the support!”
Joe continued, “It’s been nice share the experience with some industry partners such as Edgbaston Park Hotel and to see them being recognised for their positive impact on the Birmingham business community.”
