Millennium Point wins gold for workplace wellbeing

Millennium Point has been awarded the Thrive at Work Gold Award for workplace wellbeing. The award was presented by the West Midlands Combined Authority, whose Thrive scheme encourages organisations to focus on employee health and wellbeing. Millennium Point is the first Birmingham-based organisation to be awarded the Gold Award, highlighting its unwavering dedication to its team and customers.

Recognising the relationship between a happy workforce and satisfied customers, Millennium Point has designed an intensive wellbeing scheme to support a good workplace environment and promote positive mental health. After discussions with employees, the organisation implemented workshops and activities to help them to make healthier choices and improve their mental wellbeing. Experts were invited to the landmark venue to give advice on topics such as healthy eating and alcohol awareness. An array of projects including Nordic walking, yoga, and walking challenges, were offered to the team. A café was also installed providing both healthy snacks and a place to chat with colleagues over a coffee.

Millennium Point CEO, Abbie Vlahakis commented: “I am passionate about empowering our employees to make a difference. Our workplace wellbeing scheme has helped them to grow our events business, better serve our tenants, and increase the reach of our charitable work. We are thrilled that our efforts have been recognised with this gold award.”
