P&J Live, operated by Legends Global, will welcome the 87th EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition to Aberdeen from 8 – 11 June 2026, reinforcing the city’s status as a natural home for major international events and a global centre of energy expertise.

The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) is a professional organisation for geoscientists and engineers with worldwide membership.  It provides a platform for professionals in geophysics, exploration, geology, engineering, mining, civil engineering and energy transition to exchange ideas and information.

The 87th EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition will bring around 5,000 geoscience and engineering professionals to Aberdeen next week, focused on the theme of Maximising Value Through Technology and Partnership. 

The event’s arrival in Aberdeen places the city in an international host destination portfolio that has previously included Vienna, London, Paris, Madrid, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and other leading European cities. For Aberdeen, it is a clear statement of confidence in both the city’s global profile and P&J Live’s ability to deliver large-scale, content-rich events for international audiences.

Long recognised as Europe’s energy capital, Aberdeen remains one of the most important energy cities in the world. Its heritage in oil and gas, North Sea expertise, subsea engineering and global supply chain capability continue to give the city international relevance. At the same time, Aberdeen is helping to shape the next chapter of energy, with growing strengths in renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture, digital technology and the transition to Net Zero.

The conference programme will explore some of the most pressing topics facing the sector, including the future of the North Sea, exploration, seismic innovation, carbon storage, artificial intelligence, collaboration, energy transition and the evolving geoscience workforce.

The technical and strategic programme will be supported by a major exhibition across the venue’s spacious arena and halls, with dedicated spaces including the Engineering Theatre, Digital Transformation Area and Energy Transition Area, and specialist content such as the Carbon Storage MMV Technology Showcase. The wider programme will also include field trips, student activity, a hackathon focused on the Energy and AI nexus, and an EAGE Geoscience Outreach Day for secondary school students from Aberdeen and the North East.
