Richmond Hill Hotel serves an ace with Wimbledon themed afternoon tea

Richmond Hill Hotel is celebrating the return of the UK’s favourite grass tennis tournament, Wimbledon, by hosting an afternoon tea inspired by the competition.

This year, the hotel’s destination restaurant 144 On The Hill has a perfectly curated tennis themed afternoon tea that will have visitors shouting ’15-LOVE!’. It will be on offer from 1st to 14th July to coincide with the grand slam tournament.

Charlotte Alldis, Director of Marketing at Richmond Hill, said: “We love tuning into Wimbledon, much like the rest of the nation, so leading on from the success of last year, we are relaunching the Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at 144 On The Hill.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming tennis enthusiasts – and afternoon tea fans – once again to enjoy the tournament at Richmond Hill Hotel especially since we’re so close to the venue. Many of our guests staying with us throughout the next couple of weeks might be here to watch a game or two.”

The hotel is celebrating its 150th anniversary throughout this year and to celebrate the significant milestone, guests will receive a complimentary glass of fizz with their afternoon tea. This year also marks 150 years since the game of lawn tennis was first invented so there is much to celebrate throughout this year’s tournament.

Richmond Hill Hotel is located atop the hill and only moments from the Royal Richmond Park. By car, the hotel and its popular restaurant 144 On The Hill is approximately 30 minutes from Wimbledon.

The Wimbledon Afternoon Tea is available from 1st to 14th July, priced from £42 per person, or £80 for two.
