Richmond Hill Hotel wins prestigious Cateys award for its conference and banqueting services

A popular local hotel, Richmond Hill Hotel, is celebrating after success at one of the industry’s most prestigious awards of the year.

The conference and banqueting team at the Surrey hotel scooped the coveted title of ‘Conference and Banqueting Team of the Year’ at The Caterer’s Hotel Cateys 2024.

The 15-strong team was presented the impressive award due to a highly successful year of hitting budget targets and achieving record revenues.

The independent hotel located next to Richmond Park, hosted 813 events last year across its 12 event spaces, serving more than 24,000 guests.

The judges said the hotel had surpassed all expectations and described the team as a “credit” to the venue. Feedback also included “meticulous attention to detail, professionalism and personalised service.”

Diane Tapner-Evans, General Manager of Richmond Hill Hotel, said: “The Catey’s is one of the hospitality industry’s most celebrated awards ceremonies so to say I am proud of our team is an understatement.

“This recognition is more than deserved, the whole team have worked incredibly hard and overhauled our events service and offering whilst increasing the conversion rate by nearly nine per cent which is a success in itself.

“Congratulations once again to the conference and banqueting team of the year!”

Held in London on Tuesday 26th November, The Cateys celebrates the finest operators and businesses in hospitality, rewarding those who set new standards in the industry. All awards are nominated and selected by a judging panel of industry peers.

The hotel’s Front House Manager, Anna Georgieva was also shortlisted at the awards for the Front of House Manager of the Year.
