The Belfry Hotel & Resort announces 2026 charity partnerships

A first-class leisure and events destination in the heart of the Midlands, the iconic Belfry Hotel & Resort is thrilled to announce the remarkable charities it will be supporting in 2026. Having fundraised over £120,000 in 2025, the independent hotel is aiming to raise even more this year for three incredible charities which radiate compassion, kindness and community spirit.

These include St Giles Hospice, in Lichfield, which provides specialist palliative and end of life care and support, free of charge, to patients and families across Staffordshire, North Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Aspiring for a world in which everyone has fair access to end of life care, the charity’s dedicated team offers practical and emotional support and advice to ensure dignity and comfort for local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness.

Elinor Eustace, Chief Executive Officer at St Giles Hospice, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be chosen as one of The Belfry’s charity partners for 2026. This partnership will make a real difference to our community. In 2024-25, we cared for over 2,600 people, with more than 80% of that care delivered in people’s own homes. With less than a quarter of our funding coming from the government, partnerships like this are vital to help us continue to be here for local people, and their loved ones, when they need us most. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at The Belfry for their support and can’t wait to hear about all their exciting fundraising initiatives!”

For the third year running, The Belfry will be partnering with the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, a national charity dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by MND, as well as improving access to care and funding research.

The award-winning resort, in Royal Sutton Coldfield, will also continue its long-standing support for Hospitality Action. Providing relief for hospitality workers in crisis, the charity is a safety net for its service users, supplying everything from financial assistance to mental health resources.

Chris Eigelaar, Managing Director at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, said: “We selected St Giles Hospice as our local charity partner because of the strong personal connection many of our team members have with the organisation and the invaluable support it has provided to their families. Charity is a powerful part of who we are at The Belfry, and I’m consistently inspired by the energy, creativity and generosity shown by our teams. Without them, it wouldn’t be possible to provide all our charity partners with much-needed support, and I can’t wait to see the imaginative initiatives they deliver this year to make 2026 our best fundraising year yet.”

Following the success of previous years, money will be raised through dedicated events, planned and organised by departments resort-wide, during each month of the year. With every department from greenkeeping, sales and front desk to finance, spa and security taking part, last year these events included car washes, sponsored walks, golf challenges, tough mudders, marathons and competitions, to name just a few. This is as well as The Belfry’s annual awards ceremony, which will take place in January and mark the start of fundraising, and the Belfry Classic Golf Day which will be making its triumphant return in May.
