Warwick Conferences Appoints Worldspan as Strategic Event Management Partner

Warwick Conferences is delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with Worldspan, a leading Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), to deliver large-scale academic, association and corporate events on campus from August 2025.

Following a competitive procurement process launched in August 2024, we selected Worldspan as our full event management partner—an agency whose reputation for excellence, innovation and global reach aligns perfectly with our ambitions. While our in-house team continues to deliver outstanding event experiences, this collaboration allows us to expand our offer with specialist services such as abstract management, e-registration and sponsorship sales.

Founded in 1972, Worldspan brings over 50 years of experience and has delivered more than 6,000 events across 80 countries. The agency holds international and national accreditations from IAPCO and ABPCO, alongside ISO certifications in quality, sustainable event management, environmental management, and data security.

Together, we aim to position Warwick Conferences and the University of Warwick as a premier destination for high-profile events. Our campus offers state-of-the-art lecture theatres, creative meeting spaces and flexible venues for up to 1,200 delegates, complemented by a wide range of accommodation and catering options.

The first event under this new partnership will take place in September 2025, welcoming 200 delegates to campus. Looking ahead, our Business Development teams are already collaborating on a strong pipeline of bids, with plans to attract major international conferences between 2026 and 2030.

Paul Bartlett, Director of Warwick Conferences, said:

We’re thrilled to be partnering with Worldspan—an organisation whose reputation for excellence and innovation mirrors our own ambitions. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in expanding our event capabilities and attracting major conferences to campus. With Worldspan’s specialist expertise and our world-class facilities, we’re perfectly placed to deliver unforgettable experiences for delegates from around the globe.”

Sophie Morris, Managing Director at Worldspan, added:

“This is a truly exciting collaboration. Partnering with Warwick Conferences brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering exceptional delegate experiences. With Warwick’s outstanding facilities and our deep expertise in academic and association conferences, we have a fantastic opportunity to attract world-class events to the campus. We can’t wait to get started.”
