Warwick Conferences Wins Gold at Prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026

The University of Warwick is proud to announce that Warwick Conferences has been awarded Gold in the ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ category at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2026, recognising its outstanding contribution to England’s tourism and events industry.

The national awards, revealed on 3 June 2026 at Aerospace Bristol, celebrated excellence, innovation and exceptional customer service across England’s tourism sector.

Warwick Conferences’ Gold win places it at the forefront of the UK’s conference and events industry, highlighting its commitment to delivering world-class facilities, sustainable operations and exceptional delegate experiences.

Andrew Taylor, Head of Conferences said: “We are honoured to receive this prestigious national recognition. It is a celebration of the hard work, creativity and passion of our colleagues, and of the strong partnerships we have built with our clients and stakeholders. This award reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our clients while supporting innovation and sustainability within the events sector.”

The ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ category honours venues that demonstrate excellence in hosting conferences, meetings and events, with a strong focus on customer experience, quality service and innovation. Warwick Conferences secured the top accolade ahead of other leading venues across the country.

This recognition reflects the continued investment and dedication of the Warwick Conferences team, as well as the University of Warwick’s wider commitment to supporting the UK visitor economy.

Judges commented on the “exceptional wide range of event spaces” saying that the “breadth of facilities and services delivers a high level of versatility that few venues can match”.

They also commented on the team’s approach to sustainability, saying: “Warwick Conferences demonstrates a strong and comprehensive approach to environmental sustainability. Its strategy is firmly embedded into day-to-day operations, spanning infrastructure, design, waste management, energy use and event planning, all aligned with broader climate and biodiversity objectives.

“This integrated approach positions Warwick Conferences as a standout example of how large-scale venues can go beyond minimising impact to actively supporting environmental regeneration and contributing positively to community wellbeing.”

The VisitEngland Awards for Excellence have been running for more than 35 years and celebrate and champion the quality, innovation, best practice and exceptional customer service of England’s tourism industry. The awards recognise businesses including hotels, self-catering accommodation, B&Bs, glamping operators, attractions, restaurants, pubs and museums and individuals who continuously raise the bar across the sector.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said: “The awards are a celebration of England’s outstanding tourism industry and an opportunity to highlight the excellence that makes it world leading.

“From a hands-on, traditional blacksmith’s visitor experience in the Midlands and a castle hotel and spa set in one of our national parks to accessible and inclusive holidays, these awards showcase the exceptional quality, unparalleled customer service and innovation that drive our industry.”
