All Party Parliamentary Group for Events announces first set of Group and Corporate  memberships

The newly reconstituted All Party Parliamentary Group for Events (APPG) has today announced its first batch of corporate sponsors and individual corporate memberships.

Membership organisation beam, one of the UK’s leading trade associations within the business events, accommodation and meetings sector, becomes the APPGs first Corporate Group Member.

Individual Corporate Members now also include Experience Oxfordshire, Raccoon Media Group, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Event Hire Association and event booking platform Togather.

David Tremmil, Incoming Vice Chair of beam for 2025 and Vice Chair of UKEVENTS, said: “Becoming the first group member of the APPG is a significant milestone for beam and our members, and reflects our commitment to amplifying the industry’s voice. Key policy areas, such as updating SIC codes, streamlining visa schemes, and introducing an event tax credit scheme directly impact our 545 member agents, hotels, venues, and suppliers – and this sponsorship ensures that we represent their collective interests at the highest levels of government.”

Founded in 2011, the APPG is now Chaired by Shaun Davies, Member of Parliament for Telford, and has over 30 members from all parties across Parliament.

PR & Communications agency, Davies Tanner, through it’s The Business of Events Think Tank and Advocacy Network, manages the APPG, and acts as a Special Advisor to the group. It is currently working on the APPGs Parliamentary Plan of Work (PPW), which will be published in March and will outline the priorities of the group over the course of the next Parliament.
