CHS Group is once again partnering with beam, the association representing the business events, accommodation, and meetings industry, to continue their joint mission of supporting newcomers to the industry. Building on the success of their collaboration earlier this year, the initiative is returning for CHS Birmingham this October with even more ways to make first-time visitors feel welcomed, connected, and confident.
This year, attendees registering for CHS Birmingham will be able to opt in for a free ‘beam Buddy’ – a chance to be paired with a beam-approved industry professional. The Buddy System will help visitors:
- Navigate the show with confidence.
- Get the insider tips you won’t find in the show guide.
- Meet the right people – genuine introductions, not just business card swaps.
- Feel more comfortable networking, whether they’re brand new, flying solo, or switching roles.
The initiative kicks off the night before CHS Birmingham at the pre-event drinks reception at Sandbox VR, where beam representatives will be in attendance. Those who’ve registered for a beam Buddy will be identifiable by beam representatives, making it easy for them to network and be introduced to others even before the main event begins.
A beam Buddy Station will be positioned near registration at CHS Birmingham, where members of the beam board will be on hand to greet attendees, answer questions, and help newcomers connect with the right exhibitors and peers.
