The Events Raccoon is a dynamic and fast-growing events agency dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for our clients. We specialise in designing and executing high-impact corporate and hospitality events across the UK and internationally. We are seeking an experienced and highly organised and creative Event Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Amazement Officer, you will play a central role in delivering seamless events, strengthening client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

About the Role:

This role will focus mainly on one of our key clients, with a strong emphasis on delivering their unique hospitality-led, customer experience programme. The position involves periodic weekend travel to support bespoke events taking place across the UK and internationally. Each event will be tailored to a carefully curated guest list, offering highly personalised and unique experiences. As Event Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of each event — from initial briefing and concept development through to seamless on-site delivery and comprehensive post-event evaluation. You will act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring successful delivery against agreed objectives while maintaining strong budget management, operational efficiency, and consistently high service standards. In addition to this core account, the role will also involve supporting a wider portfolio of clients and contributing to the broader event programme. This includes managing additional events as required and undertaking the full range of Event Manager responsibilities, including stakeholder coordination, supplier management, logistics planning, budgeting, and on-site event delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage events from concept to completion
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients
  • Develop event plans, timelines and operational documentation
  • Writing detailed project proposals
  • Take full ownership for the overall event budget management and financing, to include cash flow, invoicing, reconciliation and ensuring profitability and ROI
  • Source venues and negotiate supplier contracts
  • Manage delegate registration and logistics
  • Provide leadership and guidance to an Event Executive
  • Deliver outstanding on-site management in the UK and Internationally

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven corporate event management and venue sourcing experience
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisational and project management abilities
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership
  • Experience building and developing client relationships
  • Flexibility for International travel and varied working hours

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Knowledge of marketing and business development principles
  • Knowledge of UK & International venues and their working practices for events
  • Understanding of working with international DMCs
  • Understanding of UK and global geography
