We’re a dynamic and growing company passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Event Manager to join our team and help us continue to deliver exceptional events both in the UK and worldwide. Reporting to the Chief Amazement Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our events are flawlessly executed, client satisfaction is maximised, and the business continues to thrive.

About the Role:

As one of our Event Managers, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of a variety of corporate events, from initial brief to flawless on-site execution. You’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life seamlessly. This role requires a strong understanding of event logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage events from concept to completion, ensuring flawless execution
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the event planning process
  • Develop detailed event programs, timelines, and budgets
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key suppliers
  • Oversee the delegate registration process and manage delegate logistics
  • Provide project-based leadership and guidance to an Event Executive
  • Deliver exceptional events on-site, both domestically and internationally
  • Manage and reconcile event budgets, ensuring profitability and ROI

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience having worked agency side as an Event Manager
  • Proven track record in venue finding, event management – demonstrating successful planning and flawless execution
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and planning abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in securing the best possible prices from suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with Mac systems
  • Strong numeracy skills and experience in budget management
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humour throughout
  • Experience of navigating routes through large and small corporate structures to identify, establish and nurture new client relationships
  • Flexibility to travel, including international travel, and work outside of standard business hours as needed

Desirable:

  • Experience with CRM databases
  • Knowledge of general marketing and business development principles
  • Understanding of national and global geography
  • A desire to support our sustainable events policy
